With a lifelong passion for all martial arts, Simon began his training at a young age with Judo and Karate.
As a teenager he made the transition from Kickboxing to Muay Thai training under Mike Haslam at the Dragons gym in Carlisle.
Later in life he added Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and wrestling to his regime, training under 2 different national champions.
Injuries lead to him making the transition from practitioner to coaching in 2011 and this has become his main focus since then becoming one of the country's most regarded coaches.
He began coaching as an assistant to Paul Cudmore and Gary Mitchel before opening up his own full time academy.
He is a certified black belt in Dutch Kickboxing (K1 style)
A qualified Pro boxing trainer with the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBC).
10th Khan assistant Kru in Muay Thai Kickboxing.
A certified Pedro Sauer Gracie Jiu Jitsu instructor.
A level 2 British Olympic Wrestling coach.
